Emma, 34 - Senior Copywriter

I write and edit things for a charity called Parkinson's UK - things like emails, reports, posters, leaflets, booklets, web content and other messages. I make sure the finished text is easy to understand and written in the right tone of voice, and that it works for the audience. I am also the content lead for a new project at the charity, meaning I am planning and creating bits and bobs of content to achieve a specific goal.

My big tip...

It's really ok to not know what you want to do - I didn't have a clue when I was at school! Pick a course that truly interests you - you can carve a career out of it later on. It's taken me a few jobs to find a career that suits me, but every role along the way has helped me get here!
